Charles Lubasi’s exceptional contributions were instrumental in the Lumwana Radiants’ relegation fight throughout the month. His efforts were pivotal in securing two crucial victories for the team, ultimately earning him the BOLANEWS Player of the Month award.

He scored the winning goal against Green Eagles in a 1-0 win and another winner against Nchanga Rangers in a 2-0 victory which saw his team move out of the relegation zone but a 2-0 loss to Mufulira Wanderers resulted in the team falling back into the red zone where they are now ranked 17th with 23 points.

On the other hand, Happy Sichikolo, the interim head coach of Kabwe Warriors, received the most votes from fans for the Coach of the Month accolade. Under his guidance, Kabwe Warriors had an unbeaten run in January, with a remarkable record of two wins and one draw from their three Super League fixtures.

His tactical acumen and leadership on the sidelines were essential to the Kabwe Warriors’ impressive form. The team not only stayed unbeaten but also showcased their strength, defeating Nchanga Rangers 1-0, Mufulira Wanderers 3-0, and securing a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Red Arrows. These results propelled Kabwe Warriors to the top of the Super League table, marking an excellent month for the Central Province-based side.

Lubasi’s and Sichikolo’s achievements reflect their outstanding performances and contributions to their respective teams, making them worthy of these well-deserved honours.

The BOLANEWS Fans Player of the Month award recognizes the MTN Super League’s most outstanding player and coach each month, as determined solely by the fans through an online poll.

Each award winner will receive a plaque at the end of the season from our betting partner, BolaBet Zambia.
