Atletico Lusaka head coach Brian Kunsanama has predicted a challenging match against FC MUZA, set for Saturday at Nakambala Stadium in Mazabuka.
Despite coming off a narrow 1-0 victory over Green Eagles, in a Week Eight fixture, Kunsanama acknowledges the uphill task his youthful side faces.
Speaking in a pre-match interview on Thursday, Kunsanama pointed out the difficulty posed by MUZA’s recent setback—a 1-0 home defeat to Power Dynamos.
“What makes it difficult is that Muza is coming from a loss and Muza being a team that has got a huge following in Southern Province it won’t be an easy one,” Kunsanama remarked.
The Atletico coach has shifted focus from last week’s win, expecting his players to deliver and secure maximum points in what will be their first appearance at Nakambala Stadium since earning promotion to the Zambian Super League.
“We have put behind the win aside we are focusing on Muza game hopefully that day our boys will put up there A game and will grab the three points,” Kunsanama said.
Meanwhile, FC MUZA head coach Lameck Banda has declared the fixture a “must win,” despite predicting a tough battle.
“A win is must no excuse whatsoever. The game against Atletico it will be a tough game we know but we expect the boys to rise up to the occasion,” he affirmed.
MUZA has experienced mixed results this season, struggling to find consistency. Banda stressed the importance of defending home turf and avoiding further dropped points.
“We can’t afford to drop points at this stage and also at home. The game are fast moving we just need to rise up.”
The match kicks off at 15:00 on Saturday at Nakambala Stadium in Mazabuka.
