Kakunta, an officer in the Zambia Air Force (ZAF) is originally a Red Arrows player but has spent most of his career playing loan spells at various Super League sides.
In 2020, he joined Power Dynamos and momentarily blossomed, but faced tough competition from Lawrence Mulenga and eventually left the Ndeke club for Napsa Stars two years later.
However, at Napsa, he failed to tick and has been looking for a club since then.
Forest have given the promising keeper a lifeline and it is left to be seen whether he will harness the opportunity under Mwenya Chipepo.
“The other new addition to the team is former Power Dynamos and Napsa Stars goalkeeper Jackson Kakunta,” Forest Rangers said in a statement. “Kakunta has joined the club on a seasonal loan from Red Arrows.”
