Despite his side battling relegation from the Zambian Super League, Trident goalkeeper John Mutale has impressed on his debut.
Mutale made his debut appearance against Choma-based side, Green Eagles in which he only conceded one goal. Trident recorded a 4-1 victory during that match.
In a match against Mufulira Wanderers in Week 27, Trident won 1-0 and kept a clean sheet.
Speaking exclusively to BolaNews, John has praised the technical bench for giving him an opportunity.
“I was humbled to have been given a chance to make my Super League debut against Green Eagles and, also keeping a clean sheet against Mufulira Wanderers in my hometown of Mufulira is truly a dream come true,” he said.
“The support I receive from the technical bench and my fellow players has made this possible,” Mutale said.
As Trident takes on Napsa Stars on Wednesday, the youthful goalie will be hoping for another opportunity.
