Emmanuel Siwale, the head coach of Zesco United, called his team’s 2-1 loss against Zanaco FC in Week 27 of the MTN Super League “painful.”
The Ndola side is now trailing log leaders Power Dynamos by three points as the Kitwe side managed to beat Lumwana Radiants 2-0.

The result leaves Zega Mambo on 48 points in second position. Reacting to the result, Siwale notes that the team has struggled to score goals despite creating a number of chances.
Siwale says the technical bench will continue to work on the striking department to improve the point turnover in the remaining matches of the season.
“It is a painful loss because where we are, we shouldn’t be dropping points, and unfortunately that has happened today,” Siwale said.

“Putting the ball in the back of the net because we are a team that has been creating a lot of chances. So that has really affected us, and we are working on that. If we can just be clinical in front of goal, then we can be talking about a different story.”
Siwale is confident that the race to the league title is still on, despite dropping points.
“This is a journey I know; it’s good for them [Power Dynamos], but I can only talk about my team. We just need to work on our finishing, and Power [Dynamos] of course may have three points. It’s a journey, like what I have said; you never know what tomorrow will bring. We just have to work hard so that we don’t drop points,” said Siwale.
