Super League side Mutondo Stars will this weekend face defending champions Red Arrows without head coach George Chilufya after parting ways with him.
In August last year, Mutondo announced Chilufya as their head coach following the departure of Zeddy Saileti to Kansanshi Dynamos.
Chilufya, a former assistant coach at Power Dynamos, Green Eagles, and Nkana, has managed to steady the ship.
The team is currently 14th on the log with 24 points. This is after a run of six wins, as many draws and 10 defeats.

This Saturday, they are away to defending champions Arrows but Bolanews understands that Chilufya has not travelled with the team.
Sources within the club have revealed to Bolanews that the club and Chilufya have decided to part ways, and the announcement is imminent.
“We are no longer with the coach,” a source revealed. “He is not with the team, as we will be playing Arrows.”
A different source said despite being a popular figure among players, Chilufya has been let go.
“We are not very sure if it is mutual separation or he will go on administrative leave, but what we know is that an announcement will be made soon,” the source said.
Club chief executive officer Stanley Kaseko was not available for a comment as his phone went unanswered.
