Nchanga Rangers football Club have parted ways with goalkeeper Coach Yona Phiri and replaced him with Cameroonian Eugene Tchatchoua, the club has announced.
Yona Phiri joined Nchanga Rangers on 18th November 2024.
The club confirmed that Phiri has left Brave Rangers on mutual consent, with immediate effect.
“We are grateful for the services coach Phiri has rendered to the Club and we wish him all best in his future endeavors,”read part of the statement.
Following, Phiri’s departure, Tchatchoua has joined Rangers as new goalkeeper coach on a one year contract.
“We are excited to welcome Eugene to the Nchanga Rangers family. His expertise and experience will be a valuable asset to our team,“read the other part of the statement.
Meanwhile, Eugene played for Prison Leopards from 2017 to 2021.
The Cameroonian, who previously played for the Cameroon U23 national team, is a top-tier goalie trainer with from UEFA and FIFA coaching qualifications.
With 28 points, Nchanga Rangers are now in 13th place. They will play the Green Eagles at Choma Independence Stadium in their Week 26 league match.
