‘FC Muza will bounce back’- coach Banda

FC Muza have recorded just one win this season but their coach says they will bounce back soon.

Despite being in the relegation zone, FC Muza’s head coach Lameck Banda is optimistic that his team can still turn things around and win again.

With just one victory in their first six games of the new season, FC Muza is off to a poor start.

In their week 6 Super League match at Nakambala Stadium on Sunday, the Elegant Dynamites and Zanaco played to a 2-2 draw, which was the third draw of the season for the Mazabuka side.

FC Muza has only six points at this point, sitting in 16th place after winning one, drawing three, and losing two games.

Banda stated that the team needs to improve their defence in remarks made to reporters following the game.

“Defensively, we did not do much because in a game like this one, Zanaco didn’t want to give us room and we managed to get a goal. We would have defended very well, but unfortunately, we gave away a set piece, which resulted in a goal so I think we have a lot of work to do defensively,” he said.

“The game was not so impressive, but a point again, not so bad despite that we were playing at home. All we need is to raise to the occasion we have room to improve.”

The former Lumwana Radiants boss is confident the team will soon jump out of the relegation waters.

“Hope is there; we are not losing hope; we will fight till the last day. We have a good team; we just need to improve in certain areas; once we do that, I think the team will be unstoppable.”

FC Muza will face the Green Buffaloes next weekend in their quest to record their second victory of the season.
