Last month, Zambia’s envoys in the CAF Confederation Cup, FC MUZA appointed Mathews Ndhlovu as their new head coach taking over from Lameck Banda.
In an exclusive interview with bola news, F.C MUZA Chief Executive officer Joe Kabika admitted that the decision to part company with Banda was not easy as it was a last-minute decision.
He said, “You know, as a squad, we didn’t even want coach Lameck to leave; we figured that even if Lameck is still there, we can register him as an assistant coach since under CAF B, they can only sit as assistant coach.
Kabika does not expect that the change of the head coach will have a negative impact on the performance of the team.
“For us, we think that the new coach is equal to the task because what happens at MUZA all of us we work together as a group, so he is not going to find it difficult for him to fit in because all the assistants are there and they have to guide him and he also has to guide them if need be so we don’t think that we are going to go offside,” he explained.
