In order to be a contender for the Golden Glove award at the conclusion of the 2025–26 Super League season, FC MUZA goalkeeper Jairos Tembo says he is putting in a lot of effort.

FC MUZA occupies the slot on the league table with seven points, with Tembo having kept three clean sheets so far. The Elegant Dynamites have won two matches and drawn one game.

In an exclusive interview with Bolanews, Tembo, however, attributed his success to teamwork.

“I think hard work pays off with my first three clean sheets; it has not been easy, but if I say I have my own target, I may lie because I can’t do it inside the field myself without the help of the team and the coaches,” he said.

“I think I will fight hard to the very end. Last season I finished with 10 clean sheets, and that will probably be my motivation to be one of the contenders for the Golden Glove award at the end of the season. They are very good goalkeepers in our league, as our position is very difficult,” he said.

Tembo added that the team is eager to play continental football once more on behalf of the nation.

“As MUZA FC, we always set the targets, like I said earlier on. We once represented the country in the CAF Confederations Cup, and this season we are looking forward to doing the same. Otherwise the league is still young; we are going on a long journey, but we will fight,” expressed the shotstopper.

In an attempt to continue their winning streak, the Elegant Dynamites will play the Green Eagles in Choma at Independence stadium this Saturday.
