Kabwe Warriors are prepared to win their first game of the 2025–26 MTN Super League season when they play Nkana FC on Saturday at Godfrey Chitalu Stadium in Kabwe, according to head coach George Chilufya.

Warriors have drawn all three of their opening games 0-0 this season and have yet to score. They have kept three straight clean sheets, demonstrating their defensive discipline in spite of the lack of goals.

In contrast, Nkana comes into the Week 4 match with one victory and two draws from their opening three games, making it a crucial early-season test for both teams.

Ahead of the game, Chilufya stated that while he is confident in his team’s preparations, expectations are high.

“It’s a very interesting fixture with a lot of expectations from all stakeholders. As a team, we’ve done our homework, we’ve prepared adequately, and we’re looking forward to a very good game tomorrow,” he said.

The coach acknowledged his side’s goal-scoring struggles but revealed tactical adjustments have been made.

“Of course, it’s been a concern, but it has always been a work in progress. We played a practice game on Wednesday where we saw a lot of positives in terms of goal scoring. We just hope to take that into the main game,” Chilufya added.

He praised Nkana’s quality but stressed the psychological aspect of the encounter.

“Nkana is one of the big teams with quality players and a very good technical bench. We have psyched our boys—it’s going to be more psychological than physical. Tactics will also count, but we’ve urged the players to stick to their strengths and give their best,” he said.
