Red Arrows Football Club head coach Chisi Mbewe has declared Thursday’s encounter against Kansanshi Dynamos a must-win.
The Airmen are coming from a 2-1 defeat to FC MUZA in a Week 23 MTN Super League match played at Nakambala Stadium. They will now take on Kansanshi Dynamos, who are buoyed by a 2-0 win over Mufulira Wanderers.
Speaking ahead of the match, Mbewe stated that the team aims to quickly rebound from the disappointment.
“We are facing a stubborn outfit looking to avoid relegation. I think it is another tricky and crucial game, but preparation has been going on well. We are coming from a disappointing result in Mazabuka, and the players look set for the game; it is not going to be easy,” he said.
He also hinted at making some tactical adjustments to the squad and called for full concentration in the remaining matches if they are to mount a title challenge.
“We are going towards the finishing line of the season, so starting with this game our expectations are very high coming from a loss. It is not going to be an easy game, but we just need to double up our efforts and ensure that we maximise the points at home.”
Kansanshi Dynamos assistant coach Dennis Makinka also spoke ahead of the game, stating, “We have to be cautious because the Red Arrows are dangerous, especially at home. We will wait for our moments, and if we can strike from there, we will.”
