Green Eagles, a Super League team from Choma, lost to Green Buffaloes 2-0 on Friday in a week eight fixture played at Lusaka’s Edwin Imboela Stadium.

Eagles, who had looked to be back on track after their 2-1 triumph against Forest Rangers the previous time out, failed to impress this time around when playing a wounded Buffalo team away from home.

In the first half, George Ngoma gave the home team the lead before Golden Mashata doubled the buffaloes’ advantage 11 minutes before the end of the game.

In response to the outcome, Green Eagles head coach Alex Namazaba is conscious of the pressure that is building, but he is still optimistic that the club will get all possible points in their home game.

“We allowed two silly mistakes and that is what killed us. Pressure is there and we cannot run away from it will just have to go back and start preparing for Trident, we are playing at home and make sure we collect maximum points,” Alex said.

Namazaba confident of turning around tables.

The Green Eagles manager thinks he still has a chance to beat the club management’s three-game ultimatum.

“Yes, I think the first one I won I have failed this one there is another one which is coming we just have to work hard and make sure we win that one and see which way forward we will move now. We need to work on our defense and work on the finishing we created a lot of chances, ” he concluded.

Buffaloes have eleven points from the eight games played so far, while Eagles have amassed just eight points after eight games.
