Nkwazi Football Club registered their second goalless draw, following a 0-0 stalemate away to bottom-placed Indeni FC in Ndola.

This result comes just a week after another barren draw against defending champions Red Arrows, leaving head coach Aggrey Chiyangi frustrated with his team’s failure to collect full points.

“It’s pulling us backwards, meaning we have to work extra hard in the next game that we will play,” Chiyangi said.

The Zambia Police-sponsored side has now gone two consecutive matches without scoring, though they have also managed to keep clean sheets in both games.

Despite this Chiyangi, was unhappy with just a single point, stressing that his team dropped two points instead of gaining one.

“Two points dropped because I can’t say one point gained, which is not good for us at this moment,” he added.

With attacking struggles becoming a concern, Chiyangi emphasized the need for a collective effort in the final third ahead of their next fixture.

Nkwazi against Red Arrows ended goalless last weekend | Club FB page.

“We just have to work again as a team because when we defend well, it doesn’t mean it’s only the defense that’s defending—it’s the whole team.”

Nkwazi will now shift their attention to a home clash against Forest Rangers on Wednesday, hoping to bounce back with a win.

“It’s another game, we just have to focus on Forest,” he concluded.
