FC Leopards Head Coach Justin Chinama says the team’s main target during the 2025-26 season, is to secure their stay in the Zambian Premier League.

The Correct Boys opened the new season on a positive note, with a goalless draw against Kitwe giants, Nkana FC at President Stadium on Sunday.

FC Leopards won promotion to this year’s Elite League last season, having spent a season in the lower Division.

In an interview with journalists after the match, Chinama expressed satisfaction with the result.

“Not really, but we are trying to assemble a team. So we are still looking around. As the season progresses we should be able to mend all the loopholes. But so far so good. First game, a point from a big team, Nkana—it’s a good result,” said Chinama.

“Our vision for this year, the first thing, is to qualify for ABSA, and the second thing is to make sure that we maintain a position in the Super League as FC Leopards ” he added.

FC Leopards will face Kabwe Warriors in a derby match in their next Super League assignment.
