Following the conclusion of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Zambia has dropped three steps in the latest FIFA ranking.
The Chipolopolo are now ranked 87 in the world, up from 84, while sitting 18th in Africa.
Nigeria has moved 14 steps up, while South Africa has also gained from 66 to 58 to break into the top ten, with Morocco maintaining their spot as Africa’s number one.
Angola is Africa’s biggest climber, moving 24 places up from 117 to 93 in the world and 20 in Africa.
On the world stage, Argentina remains number one, France is second, and England is third.
Belgium and Brazil complete the top five in the world.
