According to President Da Silva, Ancelotti has never coached Italy, the European team that even missed out on qualifying for the most recent World Cup in Qatar.

The Brazilian national football team have been without a manager since Tite quit the role following their elimination from the 2022 world in Qatar.

But when his present contract with Real Madrid expires, the selecao are planning to name Carol Ancelotti as their next manager the following year.

Ednaldo Rodrigues, president of the Brazilian Football Confederation, just disclosed that Ancelotti will captain Brazil at the Copa America in June 2024.

However, Brazilian President Lula da Silva is still unsure of the Italian manager’s suitability for the position.

According to Da Silva, Ancelotti has never coached Italy, the European team that even missed out on qualifying for the most recent World Cup in Qatar.

Why doesn’t he address Italy’s issue when they didn’t even participate in the most recent World Cup?,” he is quoted by ESPN.

President Da Silva further added that it was much easier to coach in Europe than managing a relegation threatened side in Brazil.

“Brazilian squad is not easy to coach,”-Da Silva.

“Leading a team in Europe with 11 members of the national team is quite simple. I’m curious to know if Ancelotti can turn around Corinthians. He said, “My Corinthians are going through a lot.

Currently Fernando Diniz is the interim Brazilian coach as they wait for Ancelotti to see off his contract at Real Madrid.

Ancelotti has led some of the biggest clubs in Europe, including Juventus, AC Milan, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain. He is the only manager to have won the UEFA Champions League four times. Brazil, a five-time world champion, hasn’t had an outside manager since 1965.
