This Sunday’s Super Cup final between Real Madrid and Barcelona at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah is expected to be thrilling, according to manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Real Madrid defeated Mallorca 3-0 in Thursday’s semifinal to guarantee their place in the championship game. Ancelotti’s team won thanks to goals from Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, and Martin Valjent’s own goal.

In a post-match conference, Ancelotti credited the win to the players’ teamwork.

“It was a strong team performance, and we deserved the win,” Ancelotti stated. “Although we started well, we faced some difficulties. We had opportunities to score in the first half. Mallorca defended and closed down well, and they also created problems for us with their crosses.”

Given that both sides have talented players who can affect the result of the game, Ancelotti also stated that he expects an exciting final.

Both Teams Determined To Win silverware.

He cautioned his players to maintain consistency in the final, as recent El Clasico matches have been unpredictable.

“The Clásico has been unpredictable in recent times. We have had games where we easily won and others where we were beaten 0-4. It’s hard to predict how the final will go, but it will surely be entertaining with so much talent on the pitch. We will strive to outperform Barcelona,” he said.

Ancelotti added, “We are close to reaching our best level. We are getting results, and we need to continue in this direction. Instead of chasing our best level, we should focus on consistency in our performance and results. Currently, things are going well.”

Barcelona secured their spot in the final by defeating Athletic Club 2-0 on Wednesday, with goals from Gavi and Lamine Yamal in each half of the match.

The match, which kicks off at 21:00 Central African Time, promises to be a thrilling encounter as both teams are determined to win silverware this season.
