Madrid CFF striker Rachael Kundananji delivered a masterclass on her return to Ndola by grabbing a brace against Angola.

BolaNews rates the performance of the Copper Queens in their 6-0 home win over the Welwitschias.

GOALKEEPER

Catherine Musonda (7/10): Musonda had much more to do with her feet than her gloves on the night. She exited the pitch at the hour mark with another clean sheet.

DEFENDERS

Esther Banda (8/10): Banda has proven that she is a reliable option for the Zambian women’s national team in the right-back position, scoring the fifth goal in Ndola.

Pauline Zulu (8/10): There was no getting past Zulu at the back, who delivered a number of excellent long balls into the final third. The youngster has turned that center-back slot into her very own.

Lushomo Mweemba (8/10): The defender got the party started for the Copper Queens by sending in a long ball, from which the Angolan defense conceded.

Martha Tembo (7/10): Another industrious performance from the flying fullback, who grabbed herself an assist against Angola.

MIDFIELDERS

Susan Banda (8/10): The veteran got the second proceeding off to a perfect start for the Copper Queens by unleashing a mind-blowing cracker from over 25 yards to make it 3-0.

Evarine Katongo (7/10): She linked up excellently with the attack, particularly in the first half, as the Copper Queens came firing on all cylinders from the first whistle.

Ireen Lungu (7/10): It was one-way traffic for the Copper Queens in the first half, partly thanks to Lungu’s contributions in the middle of the park.

FORWARDS

Rachael Nachula (6/10): The forward made amends for a couple of missed clear-cut chances by setting up Barbra Banda’s goal.

Rachael Kundananji (9/10): After pouncing on a goalkeeping error to give Zambia the lead, the Spanish-based attacker produced an ice-cold finish to ensure that her side mirrored their 6-0 first-leg victory.

Barbra Banda (9/10): Another talismanic performance from Barbra Banda, who fired in her 49th international goal and played a perfect assist for her namesake Esther Banda’s goal.

SUBSTITUTES

Fridah Kabwe (7/10): Kabwe played in Rachael Kundananji, who grabbed the icing on the cake for the Copper Queens in Ndola.

Avell Chitundu (8/10): The Copper Queen showed amazing composure as she ghosted into the box to score Zambia’s 10th goal on aggregate.

Ngambo Musole (6/10): Musole enjoyed half an hour from the bench on her return to the Zambian national women’s national team set-up.

Misozi Zulu and Hellen Chanda (N/A): The duo got themselves some valuable minutes against Angola in the now-star-studded and competitive Copper Queens squad.

COACH

Bruce Mwape (9/10): Another mouth-watering performance from Bruce and his technical bench, who did not allow the Copper Queens’s performance to drop off throughout the 90 minutes. With qualification to the 2024 women’s Africa Cup of Nations secured, the Copper Queens will now be looking to the 2024 Paris Olympics Games preliminaries against Ghana.
