Lynda Greef, the media manager for Cosafa, unveiled the official logo with the caption, “destination Malawi.”

The development comes after the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) had expressed interest to host the 2024 event.

Ascent Academy will represent Malawi, as champions of 2023 FAM Women’s National Championship, funded by Prophet Bushiri’s trust, Goshen.

Director of the Academy Thom Mkolongo said that having the home field advantage will increase their chances of success during the regional tournament.

“That is one and another area, playing at home will help us save money,” he said.

Zambia’s Green Buffaloes Women’s team that won the 2022 edition of the COSAFA Women’s Champions league will again represent the Southern African nation.
