Chelsea manager Graham Potter has urged fans to support the club in tonight’s crucial Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund.

The Blues lost 1-0 to the Bundesliga side in the first leg last month in Germany and will need to overturn the deficit.

Potter was relieved after their 1-0 league victory over Leeds United, and progression to the Champions League last eight tonight will help him regain the confidence of the fans.

He called on Chelsea fans to support the team like was the case over the weekend.

“I thought the support we had at the weekend was fantastic. They got behind the team and they know the importance of the game tomorrow night (tonight).”

“They want the team to go through and they know how important they are because in the Champions League away from home it is tough, and we want to make sure it is tough for Dortmund. We need our supporters for that.”

Potter is not worried about facing the sack

The Former Brighton and Hove Albion FC manager insisted that he was not thinking about losing his job ahead of the game.

“I’m not thinking about it in that way. I’m thinking about how important it is for the team and club. We are playing against a top team so it’s not going to be easy. But the boys are in a good place. They are confident, motivated, together and we want to make the challenge on and give it our best,” he said

The Blues will need to score twice to remain in the Champions League. They face a Dortmund side, who are currently on a 10-game winning run.

BETTING TIP: Try a double chance for either Chelsea or Dortmund to win with 2 or more goals in the match.
ODDS: 1.60
