Egyptian forward Mohammed Sala scored three goas in six minutes to set the record of the fastest hat-trick ever scored in the UEFA Champions League history.
Salah was a second half substitute in the 68th minute but immediately found the back of the net in the 76th minute before completing a brace 4 minutes later.

The two times African football of the year award winner completed his brace in the 81st minute to help Liverpool thrash hosts Rangers FC 1-7 at the Ibrox stadium on Wednesday night.

The Egyptian has also moved his tally in the competition to an overall total of 41 goals, three goals away from equalling Didier Drogba’s record of the most goals scored by an African in the competition.
He has now become the player with the most goals (38) scored for an English club in the Champions league surpassing Drogba’s tally of 36 goals netted for Chelsea FC and Sergio Aguero for Manchester City.

Salah has also gone level on 5 goals with Manchester City and Norwegian striker Erling Halaad as joint top scorers so far in this season’s Champions League.
