Paris Saint-Germain stunned Barcelona with a dramatic late winner, Erling Haaland celebrated his 50th UEFA Champions League appearance in style, and Borussia Dortmund ran riot again on a thrilling Matchday 2 night across Europe.

Barcelona 1-2 PSG

At the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, Gonçalo Ramos struck in the 90th minute to give PSG a 2-1 win over Barcelona. The holders had fallen behind to Ferran Torres’ opener before Senny Mayulu equalised, and Ramos’ last-gasp finish sealed the points. Nuno Mendes was named Player of the Match.

Monaco 2-2 Manchester City

Manchester City’s Haaland reached another landmark, netting twice in their 2-2 draw against Monaco. The Norwegian put Pep Guardiola’s men ahead early and restored their lead with a header, only for Eric Dier’s stoppage-time penalty to deny City victory.

Dortmund 4-1 Athletic Club

Borussia Dortmund, meanwhile, backed up their 4-4 draw with Juventus by thrashing Athletic Club 4-1. Daniel Svensson, Carney Chukwuemeka, Serhou Guirassy, and Julian Brandt were all on target as Edin Terzić’s side continued their free-scoring form.

Arsenal 2-0 Olympiacos

Elsewhere, English sides enjoyed mixed fortunes. Arsenal defeated Olympiacos 2-0 at the Emirates thanks to goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka, while Newcastle United claimed their biggest-ever Champions League win with a 4-0 thrashing of Union Saint-Gilloise, Anthony Gordon scoring twice from the spot.

Qarabağ maintained their perfect start with a 2-0 victory over Copenhagen in Baku, Abdellah Zoubir and Emmanuel Addai on the scoresheet. Bayer Leverkusen and PSV Eindhoven drew 1-1, with Ismael Saibari’s curling strike cancelling out Christian Kofane’s opener.

Elsewhere, Rasmus Højlund’s brace inspired Napoli to a hard-fought 2-1 win over Sporting CP, while Villarreal rescued a 2-2 draw against Juventus thanks to Renato Veiga’s late header.

The Champions League now heads into Matchday 3, with blockbuster clashes lineup.
