Rangers football club concluded their campaign in the UEFA Champions League with another loss against Ajax to make it six losses in six matches.
The Scottish side became the worst club ever in the history of the Champions League group stage having bowed out of the competition with no point.
The Gers who were last season’s Europa League cup finalists were placed in Group A in the Champions League alongside Liverpool, Napoli and Ajax and lost to all of them.
They scored only 2 goals but conceded a record 22 goals.

In their last match against Ajax on Tuesday night, Zambian forward Fashion Sakala made his second start in the competition and played the entire 90 minutes.
Sakala who got his first start in the competition against Liverpool at Anfield managed to create one chance and had two shots on goal but all to no avail as his side received a 1-3 thumping from the Dutch who found the back of the next four minutes into the match through Steven Berguis before Ghanaian youngster Mohammed Kudus extended the lead in the 29th minute.
Rangers had a glimmer of hope in the 85th minute when substitute Rabbi Matondo was pushed to the ground inside the box to earn his side a penalty kick which James Tavernier made no mistake to roll the ball down the middle of the goal and send Remko Pasveer to the wrong direction.

But just when the home side thought they were going to get an equalizer, Ajax instead extended their lead through Chico Conceicao who scored one minute after being subbed on to end the match 1-3 and condemn the Rangers to an embarrassing defeat at the Ibrox.
The result meant Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side who finished rock bottom of Group A was now the worst team in the Champions League group stage since it rebranded in 1992.
Croatia’s Dinamo Zagreb were the previous holders of this record after finishing bottom of their group with no points and a -19 goal difference in the 2011/12 season in a group that had Real Madrid, Lyon and Ajax.
