In a determined effort to return to Zambia’s Super League, Prison Leopards FC has appointed Coach Frank Miti as their new head coach ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Miti, who previously guided the team to promotion in 2019, has been tasked with replicating that success.

Leopards parted ways with former coach Lameck Banda who rejoined FC MUZA at the end of last season. That was following the team’s relegation from the Super League.

The club has now announced a new technical bench, aiming to rebuild and mount a serious challenge for promotion.

Miti will be supported by a capable backroom staff, including Collins Mulenga as the first assistant coach.

Shemu Musukwa is the second assistant while Eugene Tchatchoua has been appointed as the goalkeeper trainer. William Chinyama is the physical trainer and Emmanuel Mayuka as the equipment manager.

Miti to receive full support

The club’s management expressed confidence in Miti’s ability to lead the team, citing his previous success.

“We are thrilled to have Coach Miti back at the helm, alongside a talented coaching staff. His recent success with Kamfinsa Correctional Rangers and previous achievements with our club make him the ideal candidate to lead us forward,” the club said in a statement.

“The management and sponsors have full confidence in the technical bench to deliver exceptional results, driving the team to greater heights,” the club added.

Prison Leopards kicked off their 2024/25 National Division One campaign today with a 1-1 draw against Jumulo in Kabwe.

It was Miti’s first game in charge following his appointment.
