Ahead of the new season, National Division One side FC Leopards have strengthened their technical bench with the inclusion of former Mufulira Wanderers midfielder, Tom Katongo as first assistant coach.
Katongo joins head coach Albert Kachinga’s led technical bench.
Nicknamed “Diego” in his playing days, Katongo featured for FC Leopards during his playing career.
His is not new to The Correct Boys having coached FC Leopards Youth teams, including Kamfinsa Correctional Rangers.
Speaking after being unveiled, Katongo pledged to help the team reclaim its glory days.
“I will work closely with the head coach to help the team bounce back to the Premier League,” he said.
“Great opportunity to be appointed as assistant coach. It’s now time to work and ensure that we help the team achieve its set objectives,” he added.
FC Leopards will begin their National Division One League Campaign with a tough fixture against Ndola United.
