After a goalless draw with Chirundu United in a Week 16 match at President Stadium, Prison Leopards have guaranteed a spot in the 2025 ABSA Cup competition.
The Correct Boys also maintained their second-place standing in the National Division One standings with 32 points after the draw.
Leopards guaranteed their spot in the top four, guaranteeing their position in the 2025 ABSA Cup Competition, with just one round left until the first round concludes.
But after a sluggish start, the club has performed remarkably well in six games under Elijah Chikwanda, and they are still undefeated.
But even though Chikwanda secured a spot in the ABSA Cup, the draw with Chirundu United did not impress him.
“We can’t get away from it the boys did their job, it’s the nature of the game it can be drawn or a win. All in all we didn’t play our usual game, I think looking at the injuries that we have in the team it has disturbed our style of play,”said Chikwanda.
“Some players are not regular players they are just coming in so they are yet to adapt in our pattern of play.
The Kabwe based side will face Kafue Eagles in their next fixture before the close of the first round of the season.
“We definitely need to recover in our next match when we face Kafue Eagles,” noted Chikwanda.
