Zambian striker Francisco Mwepu, the younger brother of former Brighton and Hove Albion FC midfielder Enock Mwepu, has been included in Cádiz CF’s matchday squad for their match against Villarreal today.
It is the first time the 23-year-old former Kafue Celtic player is making the Cadiz first team’s matchday squad.
Cádiz CF are battling to survive relegation as they are sitting 16th in the league standings with 38 points.
They desperately need at least five points from their remaining three matches to stay up in the top flight.
Scoring has been one of the team’s major problems, with their top scorer, Theo Bongonda, scoring only four goals this season.
With the battle to avoid relegation in La Liga heating up, coach Sergio González is desperately looking for solutions to save the club.
