Achraf Hakimi, Paris Saint-Germain defender, will lead Morocco at the 2026 FIFA World Cup after coach Mohamed Ouahbi named his final 26-man squad for the tournament.
The United States, Canada, and Mexico are joint hosts of the upcoming 2026 World Cup.
Morocco is in Group C alongside Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti.
The squad features a blend of experienced internationals and emerging talent as Morocco prepares for another global challenge following their historic run to the semi-finals at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Captain Hakimi headlines a squad that also includes goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, and forward Brahim Diaz.
Ayyoub Bouaddi is in the squad following his switch of sporting nationality from France to Morocco earlier this month.
The squad further reflects Morocco’s growing depth across Europe’s top leagues, with players drawn from clubs in France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Saudi Arabia.
However, Ouahbi has left out some big names namely; Hakim Ziyech, En-Nesyri and Sofiane Boufal, of the 2022 World Cup.
Morocco will begin their World Cup campaign against Brazil before facing Scotland and Haiti in the remaining group matches.
