Denmark and Tunisia will be meeting for the first time in the World Cup. Their last match was in 2002 when Denmark defeated Tunisia 2-1 in an international friendly match.

In the last 15 games across all competitions, Denmark has won 10 and lost 5 while Tunisia in the last 13 matches have won 8, lost three, and drawn two times.

FACTS

Both teams will be making their sixth appearance at the World Cup.

The North Africans will be seeking to progress beyond the first round of the tournament for the first time in their history.

Tunisia are also the only Arab nation that have graced the FIFA World Cup in their five appearances up to date with three different Tunisian head coaches in-charge at the finals.

Christian Eriksen (Denmark): The Manchester United player has a good range of passing and a brilliant ability in set-pieces situations which makes him Denmark’s key creator. The 30-year-old midfielder is currently the leading goal scorer for the team with 38 goals.

Wahbi Khazri(Tunisia): The 31-year-old is best known for his long-range shooting skills, set-piece ability, and dribbling skills. The 2018 player of the year has much international experience and will have a big part to play in the Carthage eagles attack at Qatar 2022.

He is the player who has scored the most goals in the World Cup for his country with two goals in the 2018 edition.
