The new KoPa jerseys unveiled today at Protea Hotel in Ndola by the Football Association of Zambia(FAZ) will be worn by the Copper Queens at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, where they will make their debut.
It will also be used by the Chipolopolo Boys this weekend in their crucial 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Group H qualifier against Ivory Coast.
During their previous annual general meeting, FAZ president Andrew Kamanga revealed that the association’s KoPa brand helped generate over nine million kwacha.
“We posted a surplus of nine million, fourty-one thousand, five hundred and fifty thousand one kwacha. Part of the revenue was generated from the sale of Kopa replicas which fetched k2,700, 779.”

The demand for the KoPa kit is expected to go up as it will be used at the Women’s World Cup and Africa Cup, should the Chipolopolo qualify.
“White and Green a hit, Orange is a miss”- Fans react
Meanwhile, Zambians have taken to social media to react to rate the new KoPa designs.
The majority of commentators were impressed by the green and white jerseys. The orange jersey appears to have fallen short of their expectations.
A Twitter user, @GeorgemoyoGM reacted: “Green and white[is nice], you can redo the orange one weh.”
@milimoadam7 also wrote, “Orange looks the same as the old one.”
A Facebook user, Toni Chanda Ching’ambo believes “the orange one is 2/10.”
“Orange one it’s a miss..that zebra crossing is irrelevant in it…but the rest looks good,” Kelvin K Meleki commented.
Candy Jaaja also a Facebook user commented: “The white one is okay the rest are too basic.”
