Chipolopolo boys striker Patson Daka and his Leicester City teammates have returned for preseason training ahead of the 2024–25 English Premier League season.

Steve Cooper, who took over from Enzo Maresca when he joined Chelsea, will lead Leicester City as they begin their return to EPL.

The Foxes spent the previous season in the EFL Championship, where they emerged as champions, securing automatic qualification.

Cooper, who had made initial contacts with the players while on off-season holiday, got a first look at his new squad in a football environment in north Leicestershire.

Cooper’s technical bench comprises assistant Manager Alan Tate, first team set piece Coach Andrew Hughes, Goalkeeping Coach Danny Alcock, and first team coach and Analyst Steve Rands.

The club has revealed that Daka and teammates’ focus for the upcoming weeks will be on building fitness, with Monday specifically focused on assessing where the squad is at following the close-season period.

He is one of the key players in the Foxes setting, with 53 Premier League matches under his belt since joining the club from Austrian champions RB Salzburg in 2021.

However, compared to his Salzburg performances, where he scored 54 goals across three full seasons, Daka has only scored nine goals in the topflight.
