Manchester City has become the first team in English football history to win four successive titles. It was also the Pep Guardiola-coached team’s seventh Premier League title.

City clinched the title with a 2-1 win in their final match against West Ham United on Sunday at the Etihad Stadium. Phil Foden scored the first goal within 80 seconds and doubled the scoreline inside 18 minutes.

The Citizens dominated the first half, but Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus caught them off guard with a magnificent bicycle kick goal to pull one back for the Hammers in the 42nd minute.

The goal gave Arsenal fans hope, as they were 1-1 at halftime with Everton and needed City to lose to have a chance of winning the title for the first time in 20 years.

However, despite West Ham showing signs of a potential comeback, Rodri scored City’s third goal at the half-hour mark.

The goal was enough for City to secure the league title and once again dash Arsenal’s hopes of winning the league, even after beating Everton 2-1.

Guardiola has now won the Premier League six times since joining the City at the start of the 2016/2017 season.

He will turn his focus on completing the double when they meet their rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup final on Saturday.
