Kai Havertz put the home side ahead in the 23rd minute after he benefited from a Leandro Trossard cross.
The victory saw the gunners move to second position with 36 points, six points behind league leaders Liverpool.
Reacting to the result, Arsenal Manager Mikel Arteta praised the team for the brilliant performance.

“I would prefer to leave that to the doctor himself, but he had a procedure, everything went well, but unfortunately he will be out for many many weeks,”Mikel said about Saka’s injury.
The Gunners will face Brentford on New years day in their next Premier League assignment.
