Zambia and Leicester City forward Patson Daka has revealed his conversation with former teammate at FC RedBull Salzburg and red-hot Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.

Daka told the Leicester City media that the Norwegian who has already become the first-ever player in Premier League history to score a hat-trick in three successive home games shortly after joining Manchester City wished him good luck at Leicester City.

“Erling just sent me a funny message, something about me coming to the UK, where he had been born, and wishing me luck at Leicester City. We laughed about it and, when he was signing for Man City, I texted him, something like: ‘See you the Premier League,” Daka told Leicester City FC website.

The 2017 CAF African young player of the year also believes Haaland will break many records in the Premier League as he possess all the qualities to do anything.

“He’ll break records and records. He’s already doing it. He has all the qualities to do whatever he wants to do and to be in life.”

Patson Daka and Erling Halaad at Redbull Salzburg.

Daka and Haaland played together in Austria for FC Redbull Salzburg where both became household names which earned them big moves to top European clubs.

Daka scored 68 goals in 125 appearances for Salzburg while Halaad scored 29 goals in 27 matches in just one season at Salzburg.

Haaland moved to Germany and joined Borussia Dotmund where he scored 86 goals in 86 games across all competition to earn him a big money move to Premier League side, Manchester City FC at the start of this season.

Daka on the hand joined Leicester city last season and has since scored 14 goals in 50 appearances across all competitions including the fastest hat-trick in the European League when he scored four goals within nine minutes against Spartak Moscow  last season.

The two have so far this season hit the ground running with the Nowergian youngster already leading the Premier League scorers chart with 17 goals in just 11 matches while Daka who with his Leicester city side had a slow start to the season having only won two games has managed to score three times in his first 11 matches.
