Bournemouth signs Zambian striker, Kasukumya

A striker of Zambian descent has been signed by English Premier League side AFC Bournemouth.

Bournemouth confirmed on their official website the signing of Kashanga Kasukumya, a striker of Zambian descent.

The club announced that 10 new first-year scholars at their academy will join the U18 squad for the 2023-2024 season, including the 16-year-old Chipolopolo-eligible youngster.

Kasukumya has officially signed his contract and will be joining Bournemouth’s U18s.

Based on his Instagram account bio, the youngster appears to suggest that he holds dual citizenship of both Zambia and England.

Kashanga Kasukumya includes the Zambian flag in his bio on Instagram.

According to the club statement, he started playing for the Cherries at the under-15 level and has since become a skilled striker who excels at pressing and creating challenges for defenders.

At this time, it is uncertain if the striker has any interest in representing Zambia. Despite attempts to obtain a comment from the player, no response was received by the time of publication.
