Arteta tips Gunners to maintain momentum

The Premier League will resume on Monday following a one-month hiatus for the World Cup, and Mikel Arteta, manager of league-leading Arsenal FC, has urged his side to take advantage of the chance and continue where they left off before the World Cup.

Following victories in 12 of their previous 14 games, Arsenal are presently top of the league standings, five points ahead of defending champions Manchester City.

You know, I want the team to play a certain way, and the more consistent we are on that the more we are going to win. There is excitement, and we should be excited and we should be embracing the opportunity that we have ahead of us,
Said Arteta via Sky Sports

After suffering an injury during the World Cup campaign in Qatar, the Gunners will be without their talisman Gabriel Jesus, whose return to play is still unknown.

Arsenal will play West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium on Boxing Day.
