Fashion Sakala‘s dribbling skill and creativity were on full display as he assisted Al Fayha’s goal in their 1-1 draw with Al Fateh in the Saudi Pro League. He adeptly threaded his way between two defenders before leaving another lying on the ground and putting the ball on a plate for Renzo López in the 64th minute.

With his third assist of the campaign, Sakala has now directly contributed to 10 goals in the Saudi topflight this season, having already scored seven times. This is despite going five games without scoring for his side.

Elsewhere, Joseph Liteta notched an assist of his own in Cagliari U20’s resounding 3-0 win against Sampdoria U20 in the Primavera 1. Deep in his own half, the Zambia U-20 star played an exquisite throughball to find Trepy, who converted for Rossoblù.

In the Italian Serie A, Lameck Banda and Kingstone Mutandwa were unused substitutes for US Lecce and Cagliari Calcio, respectively.

Edward Chilufya came off the bench in the 77th minute for Midtjylland against Randers in the Superligaen on Friday. In Spain, Francisco Mwepu was unavailable for Cádiz CF in the La Liga Hypermotion fixture vs Deportivo La Coruña.

Mphande, Sunzu start in defence, Benson Sakala features in added time

Stopilla Sunzu played 90 minutes for Changchun Yatai, who fell 2-1 against Shandong Taishan in the Chinese Super League. His apprentice, Gift Mphande, was in Hapoel Rishon Lezion’s starting XI in the Israeli second tier.

Benson Sakala took to the pitch in the 92nd minute for Mladá Boleslav in the Czech Republic. On the other hand, Chipolopolo captain, Lubambo Musonda did not feature for 1.FC Magdeburg in Germany due to injury.

Mafwenta plays first league match of the year, Kelvin Kampamba earns start in Libya

Golden Mafwenta started for Metalist 1925 in their first Ukrainian Persha Liga match of 2025. They lost 1-0 to Metalist Kharkiv. In Libya, Kelvin Kampamba played the first 80 minutes of Al Madina’s 2-2 draw with Abi Al Ashar.

Obino Chisala was in Al Merrikh’s starting XI in their Mauritanian Super D1 match against Al Ksar while Ricky Banda was not. In South Africa, Enock Sakala Jr. came off the bench in the 75th minute for Chippa United, who played out a goalless draw with Golden Arrows.

Frankie Musonda, Emmanuel Banda out, Evans Kangwa unfielded

Frankie Musonda, Emmanuel Banda and Ghampani Lungu were not in the matchday squads for Ayr United, Al Tai, and Supersport United, respectively.

Zambia U-20 duo Ricky Chanda and Frank Chileshe played full matches for Nomme United in Estonia and Lokomotivi Tbilisi in Georgia, respectively.
