Patson Daka etched his name into the history books by becoming the first Zambian international to score in the FA Cup. His spectacular strike from outside the box put Leicester City in front against Cheltenham, who were beaten 2-0 in the third round of the competition.

Elsewhere, Lameck Banda was given his marching orders against Parma after catching Enrico Del Prato with his studs. The dynamic winger had earlier set up Nikola Stulic’s first-minute opener with a wonderful cross from the left wing.

It was a quiet afternoon for Kings Kangwa and Hapoel Be’er Sheva, who settled for a goalless draw with Maccabi Haifa on Saturday. Meanwhile, Songa Chipyoka lasted 82 minutes for Hapoel Petah Tikva as they walloped Ironi Tiberias 4-1 in the Israeli Premier League.

Leganes B call up Hamansenya from youth team; Frankie tastes defeat in Bahrain again

David Hamansenya kept a cleansheet against Mexico FC in his debut for Leganes B in the Spanish fifth tier. The left back had only previously featured for the Leganes U19 team in the youth team.

In Rwanda, Obino Chisala made the starting XI for Al Merrikh, who shared points with Makura while Golden Mashata was an unused substitute for Hapoel Raanana in Israel.

Miguel Chaiwa and Joseph Sabobo Banda missed the weekend’s action, while Joseph Liteta was unavailable for Cagliari U20 as he prepares for an Italian Serie A encounter with the first team against Genoa.
