Top five Zambian players abroad on the weekend

Edward Chilufya, Kennedy Musonda, and Fashion Sakala scored for Hacken, Yanga, and Al Fayha, respectively, on the weekend.

With the international break quickly approaching, Zambian stars abroad are getting set for their November 15th match against Congo Brazzaville.

FASHION SAKALA

The forward put in another Man-of-the-Match performance for Al Fayha in the Saudi Professional League against Al Tai after scoring and setting up one in a six-goal thriller following a 3-3 draw. Sakala’s performance inspired Al Fayha to come back from 3-1 down to force a draw away from home.

EDWARD CHILUFYA

The on-loan striker from Midtjylland put up another impressive performance in the BK Hacken colors after scoring in a 4-3 win against Malmo FF in the Swedish Allsvenskan.

Chilufya’s goal was his fifth since joining the Swedish outfit and the team secured qualification for the Europa Conference League.

KINGS KANGWA

Kangwa returned to action after being an unused substitute for Red Star Belgrade six games before weekend action.

A 3-1 win over Radnik saw Kangwa provide an assist after playing the full 90 minutes.

LAMECK BANDA

Despite his side recording a 2-1 defeat to Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma, Lameck Banda put in a great shift and provided his third assist of the season in the Italian Serie A.

KENNEDY MUSONDA

Kennedy Musonda was on target for the Young Africans, who thrashed arch-rivals Simba Sporting Club in a 5-1 win away from home. The win saw Yanga go to the top of the league standings after eight games, while Simba dropped to third.
