Zambia, which won the 2012 African Cup, won a ticket to the AFCON after missing out on the previous three editions.

With 12 points, Zambia leads Group H, one point ahead of the already qualified hosts Ivory Coast. Lesotho is last with one point, while Comoros is third with six points.

Bolanews lists down four talking points in Saturday’s Group H Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Comoros.

With a victory on the road, Avram Grant’s men might cap off their AFCON qualifying campaign in grand style. In preparation for the titanic match against the island nation, Grant has all the players he called in at his disposal.

One of the absentees is forward Fashion Sakala who’s out of the squad after accumulating two successive yellow cards.

1. Avram Grant Could Maintain His 100% Record

Avram Grant has a chance to continue his 100% start with a victory against a stubborn Comoros side. He started off his term with two straight triumphs over Lesotho, and after thrashing Ivory Coast 3-0 at home the last time out.

2. Lameck Banda’s form
The elusive winger has been in incredible form for his club and might keep it up while representing his country. Banda made a brief cameo against Ivory Coast but still embarrassed opponents with his brilliant ball skills.

3. Sunzu’s towering presence
Sunzu, who scored the game-winning penalty against Ivory Coast in the 2012 Afcon finals, will be crucial to the team’s success. The China-based defender, who is revered by Chipolopolo supporters, made a strong comeback last time out against Ivory Coast.

4. One of Southern Africa’s deadliest strikers has 4 goals to his name in qualifiers and will look to add on to his tally. Patson will use the opportunity to provide Leicester City club with food for thought if he delivers a resounding performance.

Many questioned whether Grant was just a simple retiree when he took up the role. The former Chelsea gaffer boasting over 50 years of experience in football, has already proved to be the right man for the job after sealing Zambia’s place in next year’s AFCON.
