Although several clubs were expressing interest to sign forward Patson Daka, it looks certain that the Zambian forward will stay at the English side Leicester City.

According to reports, Bournemouth was close to signing a loan agreement with a buyout option, but the transaction fell through as scheduled.

Earlier, Sky Sports reported that AC Milan were close to agreeing a deal with Leicester City for Daka, but the deal fell through because the transfer window in Italy closes before midnight.

The arrival of forward Luka Jovi, who joined AC Milan on loan from Fiorentina, may have been another underlying influence.

Despite competing, AS Roma chose to sign Romelu Lukaku to a loan agreement that will last until June.

AC Monaco of French Ligue 1 also expressed interest in Daka, but after hiring Folarin Balogun from Arsenal for €40 million, a deal fell through.

When it looked certain that Daka was going to join the Cherries, the deal reportedly fell off at the business end.

Daka should fight or else.

Since the arrival of coach Enzo Maresca’s at Leicester City, one of Africa’s most feared strikers has since fallen down the pecking order.

Daka will now have to fight for a place at the King Power stadium should he remain with the Foxes.

As things stand, Daka could still be on his way out with a move to Turkey, Greece or Saudi Arabia because the transfer window is still open in those countries for the next coming days.
