There are no hard feelings from Chipolopolo midfielder Kelvin Kampamba, who has not been considered for the Africa Cup of Nations (AfCON) in Morocco. The Zesco United player has wished the team all the best.
Coach Moses Sichone has dropped 11 players that were part of the AfCON last year. Kampamba is among those players that have failed to make the cut.
Yesterday, the team traveled to Spain ahead of the AfCON, and Kampamba took to social media to send his best wishes to the team.
“All the best, gents,” Kampamba posted on his Facebook page. “Let’s conquer Africa.”
In the comment section, most people wished Kampamba was part of the team.
“I am just from discussing with my fellows here. No Kemuka, sure, we needed that creativity. Those dangerous crosses—the striking force was supposed to be boosted anyways. All the best,” one follower by the name of Malaias Promise Balungu posted.
At the AfCON, Chipolopolo are in Group A alongside Morocco, Comoros, and Mali.
They start their campaign on December 22 against Mali.
