Zambia international striker Lameck Banda says he is looking forward to improving on his last season’s performance as he makes his return to his Italian side US Lecce football club.
Banda sustained a knee injury which saw him sidelined for over three months missing the crucial World Cup Qualifiers for the Chipolopolo boys.
The Former Zesco United winger joined his Club US Lecce in Austria for their pre season training in preparation for the new season.
Since joining the Italian side, Banda last season played 21 matches scored two and provided four assists.
Speaking to Bolanews exclusively, Banda said he feels much better and has started light training.
“Training is going on well we have been training hard. Am feeling better now I even started light training,” he said.
The speedy and trick winger is hopeful of a strong comeback in the upcoming Season.
“Am looking forward to improve on my last season performance and score more goals,” concluded Banda.
US Lecce will be hoping to kick start their SERIE A campaign on a positive note this time around.

The Italian side finished the league in 14th place with 38 points from 38 matches securing a spot in the Serie A for next season.
