Jamie Lawrence bids farewell to Chipolopolo Boys, Copper Queens and FAZ

Lawrence paid tribute to the Zambian FA for the opportunity to work with Chipolopolo boys and extended his gratitude to the players.

Chipolopolo Boys physical trainer Jamie Lawrence has announced that he is no longer working with the Zambia men’s National team.

The former Jamaican international, was part of the Avram Grant technical bench, taking up the role in March 2023.

He expressed his happiness in helping Zambia qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations finals since the 2015 edition.

In his latest Instagram post, Lawrence shared, “It’s with mixed emotions that I announce that I am no longer working with the Zambia National football teams.”

He was involved with the women’s national team during their World Cup debut in Australia and New Zealand last year.

“From helping the men’s team reach their first AFCON in 8 years to having the honour of going to the World Cup with the Women’s team, these moments will always hold a special place in my heart,” Lawrence stated.

Lawrence paid tribute to the Football Association of Zambia for the opportunity to work with Zambia national teams.

“A heartfelt thank you to the Zambian FA for the incredible opportunity. I’m deeply grateful for the memories and privilege of working alongside such dedicated and talented players.”

In his message to the players, “To the players, I’ll miss our time together and the passion you bring to the game. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with each one of you”.

The Zambian FA is yet to announce his departure officially from the role of Chipolopolo boys physical trainer.
