Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade over the weekend were crowned Champions of the Serbian League for the 34th time after they beat TSC 4-1.

Red Star secured the league title with six games to spare. They have yet to lose a match in the domestic league this season, winning 27 and drawing four after 31 games.

The Serbian giants have also secured a slot in the UEFA Champions League next season.

Zambian and Red Star midfielder Kings Kangwa became the first Zambian ever to win the Serbian League in history, contributing with 6 goals and 2 assists in 26 appearances.

He joined the Serbian giants in 2022 on a 4-year deal and has been impressive.

The 24-year-old tells Bolanews in a telephone interview that he is happy to win a trophy in Europe finally.

Kangwa is thrilled that he has become the first Zambian to win the Serbian league.

“Amazing feeling winning the Serbian League as the first Zambian player; I am happy. Words cannot express how happy I am,” said Kangwa.
