GOALKEEPER DEFENDERSMIDFIELDERS FORWARDS

GOALKEEPER

Rodwell Mulungushi (Chambishi FC) – He helped Chambishi FC put an end to Napsa Stars’ 4-match winning streak with seven fantastic saves in the match. Mulungushi denied in-form striker Adams Zikiru from scoring through a powerful header in the 60th minute. That was one of the best saves of the weekend.

DEFENDERS

Gideon Sichone (GBFC) – He was involved in the build-up of the two goals for Buffaloes that beat Zesco 2-1. Sichone moved into a more advanced attacking position from the back to provide more attacking options for the Army side.

Chilimba Moonga (GBFC) – The captain scored the equalizer for Buffaloes in the second half. He was unlucky not to score the second goal from a corner kick and was also solid at the back.

Mathews Chabala (Nchanga Rangers) – The defender was tough on the current leading top scorer, Andy Boyeli. He also provided good organization in the backline of Nchanga Rangers. Another impressive shift for the defender.

Gift Zulu (Napsa Stars) – He was fully involved in the attack for the Pensioners despite the match lacking goals. Gift was also rock solid for the pensioners.

MIDFIELDERS

Amity Shamende (Green Eagles) – He secured three points for Green Eagles with a well-taken free kick. His overall involvement in the match was also impressive, imposing himself with some tricks and clever runs.

Lucky Bwalya (GBFC) – He was heavily involved in the Green Buffaloes came back on Saturday as they beat Zesco United 2-1. Bwalya managed to cut supply from Collins Sikombe prompting the Zega Mambo technical bench to make changes which did not help matters.

Francis Mustafa (Zanaco) – A vital goal from Mustafa helped Zanaco to move from the relegation zone. He is a versatile player who plays as a striker and also takes responsibility from the middle of the pack.

FORWARDS

David Obashi (Prison Leopards) – The striker’s power drive proved to be vital for the Correct Boys. He was impressive for his setting up Junior Zulu for what would have been a second goal after but it was offside, unfortunately.

Samuel Onyango (Kabwe Warriors) – He was the top scorer this weekend as the Warriors striker scored a hat-trick. He put the visitors in the lead with just 18 minutes played and went on two score two spot kicks against relegated Buildcon.

Moyela Libamba (Forest Rangers) – He scored the opening goal for Forest Rangers from a penalty before he was withdrawn for Bornwell who scored the second goal. He came close to finding the back of the net on two occasions, in the 28th minute and 35th minute.
