Chiti Chitundu, a FIFA players’ agent says Chipolopolo striker Patson Daka should join a club where he is guaranteed regular playing time.
Daka’s contract with Leicester City, ends on June 30, closing a five – year chapter in England for the Chipolopolo attacker.
Reports suggest Daka, will move to either Turkey or Spain.
Chitundu said consistent game time is crucial for Daka.
“The most important thing for Patson now is to go to a club where he is going to play week in, week out. At this stage of his career, regular football should be the priority,” Chitundu said.
He said sitting on the bench would do little to help the striker regain his best form.
“As players grow, they need minutes on the pitch. If you are not playing consistently, it becomes difficult to maintain your confidence, fitness and rhythm. That is why I believe game time should come before everything else,” he said.
Chitundu said Daka remains one of Zambia’s finest attacking talents and has the quality to succeed provided he joins a club that gives him opportunities.
“Patson has already shown what he can do. What he needs now is an environment where the coach trusts him and gives him the chance to play regularly,” he said.
