The CAF announced the guaranteed number of slots for each member association, including dates for the 2024–25 season.
The preliminary round of the 2024–2025 CAF Interclub season is planned for August 16-18, 2024.
The group stages are slated for October through December 2024.
The elimination phase and final of both events will take place between March and May 2025.

CAF also announced the 12 highest-ranked member associations based on CAF rankings, who would be eligible to enter two teams into both the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup.
The 12 highest-ranked national associations are as follows: Algeria, Angola, Cote d’Ivoire, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Nigeria, RD Congo, South Africa, Sudan, Tunisia, Tanzania.
This means Zambia, which is not ranked in the top 12, will have one club in each competition. The Champions Red Arrows will represent the nation in the CAF Champions League, while Zesco United will compete in the CAF Cofenderations Cup.
CAF has also stated that the addition of the second preliminary round of the Confederation Cup is still cancelled.
As a result, clubs eliminated in the second round of the CAF Champions League will no longer advance to the CAF Confederation Cup.
Clubs that advance from the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup will move on to the group round of the competition.
