Zambia’s Red Arrows have been drawn against Madagascar’s FC Rouge in the first preliminary round of the 2026–27 CAF Confederation Cup.
Red Arrows will host the first leg between September 4 and 6 before travelling to Madagascar for the return fixture scheduled for September 11 to 13.
The winner on aggregate will progress to the second preliminary round, where they will face South African giants Kaizer Chiefs.
The second preliminary round is scheduled to take place between October 16 and 18 for the first leg, with the return leg set for October 23 to 25.
Red Arrows qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup after lifting the 2026 ABSA Cup and will be making their fourth appearance in Africa’s second-tier inter-club competition.
They have previously played in the competition three times, with their best performance coming in 2009, when they reached the first round of 16. They were eliminated in the preliminary round during the 2012 campaign before returning in the 2021–22 season, where they advanced to the play-off round.
